The bright light shining through my window illuminated the bed, waking me from a pleasant sleep. Min's arm was trailed over my side, offering a surprising amount of comfort given the fact I wasn't used to sharing my bed with anyone for actual sleep. At least not until the last few weeks. But there was something nice about waking up in his arms, even if I couldn't put my finger on precisely what it was. I just knew that I liked it.

I extracted myself carefully, trying not to wake him so that I could make some drinks. If the last few nights were anything to go by, he'd be awake by the time I got back. I pulled on my dressing gown, letting the silk slip against my skin in a way that reminded me of a lover's caress.

I glanced back at the bed and the sleeping god there. Perhaps it was even a specific lover I was thinking about.

I grabbed my phone from the nightstand and checked through a few messages as I made my way to the kitchen, surprised to find several positive RSVPs for the launch party of Jinx. Min had been right about people saying yes because of the exclusivity, for which I was glad. If there was any chance of this going well, we needed to get some of the bigger gods involved.

I busied myself making drinks and tried not to think about it too hard. The success of Jinx wasn't going to be defined by a single event. I was sure that this was the kind of thing that built over time and became something big. I just had to trust in myself and the other gods involved and hope that everything went well.

I made us both drinks and headed back to the bedroom, not in the slightest bit surprised to find Min perched up in the bed. I placed my coffee on my bedside table and passed him the other one. His fingers brushed against mine, sending tingles throughout my body in response.

I slipped off my robe, enjoying the way he looked at me as I got back into bed.

"Morning." He leaned over and kissed me gently.

"Morning," I responded, lying down on my front and resting my head on my arms so I could look at him. "We've had three more major gods RSVP to the event," I said.

"Oh, that's good. Who?"

"Poseidon, Minerva, and Hel."

"Good gets. Nothing from Ra or Amun yet?"

I shook my head.

"Hmm. Still, it's a good turnout so far. No doubt they all want to come and see what love gods are capable of. Most people want to fall in love, even ancient deities."

"Do you think we're capable of it?" I asked. "Love gods, I mean."

Min trailed his fingers over my bare back, the sensations difficult to ignore even with the serious topic of conversation. "Capable of what?"

"Love."

He paused what he was doing. "Why wouldn't we be? You're a love goddess, aren't you?"

I nodded.

He resumed tracing patterns on my back and for a moment, I thought he wasn't going to answer.
